Religious fundamentalism – a terrible danger

It is needless to mention that India is a multi-religion country. Different religious trends exist here very much with their own separate identity. It is nothing uncommon because India is a multi-lingual, multi-racial and mulch-community country. It is the genuine cultural stream of India. Peaceful coexistence of all religions ensures basic philosophy of harmony and amity of India. That we will live in India with separate cultural and religion identity – there is no harm in it. India is not built from the source of a single unified culture. Naturally diversified thinking among the Indians is very common. Religious dictum varies from community to community. Obedience to that dictum is not at all an offense. But it is obviously an offense not to show respect to other religions. It comes out of religious fundamentalism. What is fundamentalism is a very common question. Fundamentalism can be defined as orthodoxy of any religion and it is orthodoxy what shoots all sorts of trouble leading to commotion and chaos. Patience and tolerance to other religions glorify any religion in particular because there appears no enmity or rivalry in it. The more we shout for any religion in particular subject to supremacy, the more the magnanimity of that religion will run into severe erosion. This is the well accepted principle. It is not at all a roof top view. It has solid ground.
The onslaught of religious fundamentalism is the standing threat in India. It is the burning danger to massacre the sovereignty and cultural harmony of India from the root. It was our pride a day; India is one with so many diversities. But that pride is now the setting sun because clashes out of religious fundamentalism are on the rife in India. Tolerance to other religions is now a bygone episode because of plotted orthodoxy to be condemned with no relaxation. A vigorous search to find out the roots of the orthodoxy of religion will reveal that the roots have gone enough deep to the bed of the society with umpteen areal roots. Having blind faith to religious dictum or bigotry is the common characteristics of Indian cultural heritage. It is simply because the maximum percentage of Indians is God fearing. Holding the hands of historical backdrop of India it has handed down from generation after generation. So common Indian citizens, mostly poverty stricken and with very poor literacy rate, can’t opt religion from their senses. That is why; religion has become an inseparable part of Indian society. The propagator of vested interest elements finds an easy access in the God fearing people of India. It’s a very simple logic behind the rife of religious fundamentalism in India.
Preaching of different religions may not be concurrent subject to placement, though the main tune of all religions is same. We are inadvertent to this simple truth and fight for supremacy of any religion in particular. It results blood-shedding religious riots and clashes. Innocent people are killed out of it. Now the question is who is benefited out of it. Reactionary forces hold the total responsibility of communal and religious clashes. Those who want divisions in man get benefit out of the orthodoxy of religion. Some people or forces are very much there not withstanding the unity of common people of India because their narrow interest will run at stake and it will be a direct threat to their own existence. So, let the loud outcry of religion remain ever alive in the soil of India in full furry. It is the mission of vested interested forces never to allow the Indian people to be united under the common canopy total unity and solidarity. This is the real enigmatic truth.
The sovereignty of India today is at the threshold of breaking down because divisive forces are very much proactive now in India. Religious fundamentalism is definitely spear-heading out of those. Common people of India, the toiling mass of India will remain ever separated provided there stands a sharp demarcation between religions to religions. The riots or clashes taking place in India today leaving us in deep trauma are mostly the outcome religious fundamentalism or religious bigotry. It is an endless shame to us. Not having any division among the followers of which religion a strong solidarity and unity is definitely to be built up among all the Indians, irrespective of cast or creed, sending religious fundamentalism permanently in exile and it will protect the sovereignty and secular face of India. Religious impartiality with no promotion to narrowness and orthodoxy is the basic formula to protect India from being divided into parts. We are to keep in mind that religious fundamentalism is the piercing force to establish the onslaught of imperialism, plundering every moment our good senses and feelings to bankruptcy. A morally bankrupt person can never contribute even the least for the well being of the society, he belongs to.
