May be small but not insignificant

We often ignore trifling elements under the consideration that those will not pay any dividend to our life at any price. Thus the significance of those is casually overruled. It is our very common trend without any counting. But this passiveness of our thinking comes to our life with a heavy blow. When we come across such definite occurrence we start realizing how far we are mistaken taking up the issue in insignificance. Every issue, appearing small or insignificant, yields definite significance to be taken into thought in realistic consideration. If it is not done with due deliberation; it will come upon us as a heavy burden a day. But then it will be too late to anticipate that.
To err is human. We commit mistakes in our life in renewal because course life of every individual is an untravelled path. Naturally small mistakes are not very unlikely. If those mistakes are casually ignored or bypassed that would become significant mistakes a day and we are sure to be heavily penalized for those mistakes a day, not to be withstood by any consideration. As for example, a little child told a lie any day out of fear. That was at once detected, but none counted that with seriousness out of little age. The child was exempted of little punishment or chastise. In due course it is discovered that the grown up child is a genuine trader of lies. Once the offence was considered small an insignificant, but what is to be said when the credibility and trustworthiness of that child will be completely lost. None of us wants this because we don’t want to see our generation to come misdirected in any way. The episode was small a day but not at all insignificant. If it was intercepted on that very day with due gravity the outcome would sure to be not as painful as it is right now.
The fact that is to state now in brief is not a typical slot of popular running TV serial. The actual names here are withheld for obvious reasons. It is the busiest hour in the accounts department of a renowned mercantile farm. A middle aged order supplier was politely pressing hard the payment disbursing officer to release his bill, not of hefty amount. The officer was then busy with a discussion with a business giant. In every occasion the request of the small order supplier was being turned down with an alibi that Rameshbabu, the disbursing was busy with some important discussion. Ultimately Rameshbabu flatly refused Ratan asking him to visit after a month for the payment. But Rameshbabu could not understand that Ratan’s daughter was seriously sick and he was badly needed of Rs. 10000/-, more or less the bill amount against his supply, for his daughter’s immediate treatment. And as a matter of fact, incompetent father accepted his daughter’s expiry out of no treatment as such. Rs. 10000/- was an insignificant and very small amount to Rameshbabu, but that was very much significant to Ratan because for that small amount he failed to negotiate the cost of treatment of his daughter. What would be the explanation of the fact? The request might be of very small amount but not at all an insignificant one to turn down outrightly.

In many cases we are in the habit of overruling small elements, but we forget those should not ignored labeling as insignificant. Something may appear insignificant today. But when that very insignificant element starts shooting trouble we pay the penalty for showing indifference. Nothing should be undervalued or underscored. Each and every incident or happening does have a specific importance and that has to be correctly estimated. We deliberately ignore that. We fail to take the correct stock of that account. This is the Himalayan blunder and to compensate the loss of that blunder is somewhat impossible. As a way of inference it can be convincing concluded that a thing or an episode may be small but that can’t be an insignificant one. We should always keep it in our memory.
