Students train teachers

“STUDENTS TRAIN TEACHERS” – this particular excerpt may create confusion in our mind. We are in the common and traditional understanding that teachers teach students and they hold the total responsibility of the faculty and intelligent quotient development of the students. Taking into account the mental set up of each and every student a teacher is supposed to grind different value thinking concept in their mind in order to elevate their senses on education as well as the aftermath effect of being educated in multi diversified ways. Students learn it and glorify their future in perfect reflection of true learning. They accept their teachers as the idol of life.
Teachers also teach the students the value of discipline, the value of punctuality, the value of sincerity, the value of dedication, the value of morality, the value of not being corrupted and the value of obedience to good faith and understanding. In a word it can be concluded convincingly that teachers are the constant guiding stick of the students in the walk of life.
When a true teacher teaches students they are very much attentive to listen to what he wants to teach intensively and extensively both as a way of analyzing the subject matter of the studies. Students are very much impressed with the mode of his teaching. The artisan skill of teaching of a true teacher ameliorates the sense of reasoning of a student in respect to faculty development with an excellent exposition of intelligence. This is by far the greatest achievement of a student.
Now it needs an explanation to the definition of a good teacher. Every teacher is not a good teacher. To teach only the teaching elements is not the only responsibility of a good teacher. If we read anything we can learn. But it requires maturity to comprehend the central theme of the teaching elements. Students are usually immature. Naturally to have the synopsis of the reading element in a capsule form may not be communicable to them. So they need of a teacher to make them understand subject matter in a lucid form.
But what should a real teacher do? What is the fundamental responsibility of him? How should he communicate? How does he earn the confidence of the students during teaching? It demands a discussion. At the very outset a teacher should give up his ego of learning. Students should never think that the teacher belongs to an alien planet and he is communicating the teaching element in a foreign language. He must put off his cloak of knowing everything. He is supposed to develop the class room environment in a friendly and cozy approach. He must motivate the students with requisite appreciation with no constraints. He is supposed to encourage the interactive system of teaching. He should allow speaking the students on their own perception and conviction too. It is definitely encouraging to the students. Let the students feel that they are not captivated in the classroom within the boundary of pains.
Another aspect a teacher should learn by default if he wants to be identified as a good teacher. He should give up his own ego and sense of self-conceit. He is supposed to act as a learner. When a teacher teaches his angle of vision pertaining to teaching element is confined within a specific ambit. But it reflects in the mind of the students in different ways. Their line of thinking never runs in concurrence. Different questions, relevant or irrelevant no matter, come up in their mind and they seek reply in perfect explanation. It may happen that the teacher hardly thinks of many or a few the questions earlier. When he ponders over the reply of those questions many closed doors and windows of his thinking get opened. He is thus benefited to extend the boundary of his knowledge and perceptions. It is obviously a factor to count imposing due regard. A teacher should never run with prejudices in this context.

Here implies the usefulness of the excerpt – “STUDENTS TRAIN TEACHERS.” The reality and justifiability of it is nevertheless undeniable. It is unfortunate to quote that a major section of the teachers of today does not comply with this phenomenon. They take up their teaching profession as a tool of their earning. As if they are the workers of a factory. Instead of selling their labour for a stipulated time they are their bread and butter. But they are definitely to remember that teaching profession categorizes the service sector. Best services to the students as a way of best conferring the theme of the teaching elements recognizes the success of them as a teacher. Here lie the shortcomings of our education system which is taken up erroneously as a commodity, to be purchased or to be sold to ones sweet will.
